The Summer Program
Our summer program involves morning aerobics, daily swim lessons, and games. Each of three, two-week sessions allows a camper a special focus. Each camper participates in one program per session. (Link here for further details about the summer sessions.) Campers involved in session 2 will also stage a “Camp Show” to highlight the skills they have developed. Camp meets Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with an extended “Activity Night” during the second week of each session.
Due to our 4:1 camper/staff ratio, we are unable to accept campers who require more extensive supervision unless they bring with them a one-on-one aide or who are not toilet trained. As part of the application process, a director will interview each new applicant in person to determine whether Bournelyf Special Camp can meet the applicant’s needs. This also provides the new camper and their family an opportunity to tour the facilities and get a better idea of what a typical camp day is like.

Transportation
Bournelyf Special Camp encourages car-pooling whenever possible. If there is pressing need, and dependent upon the number of campers who sign up for transportation at a specific location, the Camp may establish a “pick-up/drop-off” point to serve a specific locale. In the past, pick up locations have been available in Paoli, Lionville, and Downingtown. An additional fee will be charged for this service, if applicable.
Financial Aid
Financial aid is available. If aid is desired, please fill out the financial aid form, and return it with your application. We will be in touch to discuss your situation. You may also wish to contact your County MH/MR or school district to determine whether they have monies available to assist your camper. We advise you to apply promptly, however, indicating whether your camper’s participation is dependent on County or school district support.
